Technical audit on the effective availability of wind turbines

The first step consisted in analyzing Scada data, homogenizing and processing it, then confronting it with maintenance reports to analyze in detail the effective availability of each wind turbine. This included the analysis of the evolution of the availability rates of the wind turbines, as well as an in-depth search for the origins of technical failures.

Estimation of the impact on the producible, the revenues and the needs in reinvestments

Our analysis did not stop at the technical audit. We also estimated the impact of technical failures on energy production, revenues and reinvestment needs of the park. This included a detailed analysis of the initial maintenance and warranty contract, as well as a simulation of energy production losses and potential financial penalties.

Recommendations on technical and contractual solutions to reduce the impact of future failures

Finally, we provided concrete recommendations on technical and contractual solutions to be implemented to minimize the impact of future failures. This notably included an investment optimization strategy and advice on clauses to be included in new maintenance contracts.

The mission also resulted in a renegotiation of insurance policies, to ensure better consistency with new maintenance warranties.
