Zelya Energy supports developers, investors and utilities throughout the entire lifecycle of energy infrastructure projects — from early-stage origination to construction oversight and commissioning.

Our team combines technical engineering expertise with deep regulatory and commercial knowledge to de-risk projects and accelerate development timelines. We intervene on solar PV plants, onshore and offshore wind farms, hydroelectric facilities, biomass and biogas units, natural gas combined-cycle plants and electricity network infrastructure.
Site Selection & Project Origination
The success of an energy project starts with the right site. Zelya Energy assists in the identification and evaluation of development opportunities, taking into account resource availability (solar irradiation, wind regime, hydrology, biomass feedstock), proximity and capacity of transmission or distribution networks, land availability, urban planning constraints, environmental sensitivities and local acceptability. We help our clients build a robust project pipeline grounded in technical and regulatory reality, not just resource potential.
Owner's Engineering & Technical Oversight
Zelya Energy acts as your technical advisor throughout the development process, in an owner's engineer role. We do not produce the studies ourselves — we help you identify, appoint and coordinate the right specialists (environmental consultants, geotechnical firms, resource assessors), then we review, challenge and validate their deliverables on your behalf. From resource assessment to plant layout, from technology selection to grid connection schematics, our role is to ensure that every technical study meets the standards required by investors, lenders and regulators — and that no blind spot compromises your project down the line.
Permitting & Administrative Procedures
Navigating the permitting landscape is often the most time-consuming phase of energy project development. Zelya Energy manages the full spectrum of administrative procedures on behalf of our clients: building permits, ICPE authorisations, environmental impact assessments, risk studies, grid connection requests, feed-in tariff applications and long-term land lease negotiations. We coordinate with local authorities, regulators, grid operators and stakeholders to keep projects on track and minimise delays.
Grid Connection Strategy & Assistance
Grid connection is not merely an administrative step — it is a strategic decision that can make or break a project's economics. Zelya Energy provides end-to-end assistance on connection strategy: we analyse the available options (distribution vs. transmission network, existing substation vs. new infrastructure), assess the technical and financial implications of each scenario and recommend the optimal route. We review and challenge the grid operator's proposed connection layouts and cost estimates, negotiate technical and commercial terms on your behalf, and do not hesitate to mobilise independent electrical engineering firms upstream to improve the operator's response. Our experience with TSOs and DSOs across multiple jurisdictions gives our clients a decisive advantage in securing favourable connection conditions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
Successful project development requires alignment with a wide range of stakeholders. We assist in identifying and engaging landowners, local communities, co-developers, EPC contractors and financial partners. Our team manages tendering processes for mandatory regulatory studies, coordinates service providers and facilitates dialogue with elected officials and administrations. We draw on 20 years of experience in navigating the political and social dimensions of energy infrastructure.
