Our due diligence services for companies and assets in the energy sector are primarily designed for banks and investment funds, as well as energy and industrial groups pursuing external growth.
Zelya Energy has built a strong reputation in both financial markets and the energy industry for its customized services and deep expertise in gas and electricity markets. The firm supports clients in valuing target assets and conducting technical, strategic, and regulatory due diligence.

We support clients:
Due diligence refers to validating regulatory and technical assumptions within a company’s or project’s financial model: What are the reserves and production forecasts of a plant? What is the availability rate of a wind farm? Is the grid connection of a gas-fired power station optimal? Is the expansion or renovation plan of a hydroelectric facility appropriate for its design and site conditions?
Our experts can model resource potential and projected output, estimate past and future investment requirements, and quantify assumptions on availability rates or equipment replacement, compliance, and upgrade scenarios underpinning the business to be acquired.
Our consultants’ technical expertise enables them to critically review business plans, conduct detailed audits of facilities, and assess the quality of operations and maintenance practices.
This expertise is essential to rigorously assess the technical risks of an acquisition, protect clients by recommending investment conditions, and provide relevant inputs into the financial models on which valuations are based.
Considering an acquisition, refinancing or vendor due diligence?
Zelya Energy delivers independent technical, financial and regulatory due diligence on energy and renewable assets across Europe — wind, solar, hydro, gas and electricity.

Where we add the difference
Structurally independent. Zelya Energy is not part of an M&A bank or transaction advisory group. We do not collect transaction success fees and never run buy-side and sell-side mandates on the same target. Our remuneration is decoupled from deal closing — a critical safeguard our clients value when stakes are high and timelines compressed.
Senior consultants on every engagement. Our teams are composed of energy industry veterans (former directors of European utilities, plant developers, network managers) — not junior analysts running screens. The same senior who scopes your engagement signs the final report.
WindDeep — proprietary monitoring platform. For wind asset reviews, we run our own SaaS application WindDeep to analyse SCADA data, availability and turbine-level performance. Few competitors bring this depth of data-driven assessment on top of regulatory and financial reviews.
Where we are particularly strong. Hydropower concession renewals in France, mid-cap renewable portfolios (10–500 MW), gas infrastructure in Southern Europe, electricity network unbundling, and emerging-market financing (World Bank, UNDP, AfDB).
